foreign stocks trade on foreign exchanges. some trade on american exchanges. they have ticker symbols as well. where ever you buy current stocks you can buy foreign stocks. they usually trade as adr’s

you should look for places where you can trade. i’m not into it myself, yet, but try looking it up and at least RESEARCH first at things like: Vanguard Group,, ameritrade,

and really do months of research literally. penny stocks aren’t expensive and you can trade tiny amounts (though with service charges you’ll want to invest at least hundreds) but really read these sites and read more about what you’re getting into. buy some money magazines, investing and business mags. If that souds boring then don’t bother investing! you’d wanna be interested and good going into it. or at least well-read.

i’ve been researching, investing in safe mutuals (ask your bank and research) for about 3 months, and am only thinking of trading online later in the year.

meh. do watcha want, right. but just be smart and you can actually come away winning and not just thinking ‘at least i tried’.

Buying foreign stocks is easy if they offer ADRs, like CHL or IBN. Many foreign companies that don’t have ADRs, still can be traded in the US through the pink sheets, like Vestas, VWSYF.pk, and Gamesa, GCTAF.pk.

You can also buy foreign stocks directly on foreign markets through Schwab, but I believe you will pay a big commission.

You might want to take a look at the following 2 portfolios of Indian and Chinese stocks which trade in the US markets as ADRs. Both of these portfolios have done very well at Top10Traders.com:

You can see many more investors’ portfolios at – this is a free site that lets you create a portfolio of stocks with $100,000 in “play” money. Each day the site ranks the best performing portfolios, so you can see how your picks perform compared to other investors. You can also read posts on investing from the best traders, as well as share your own investing ideas. There is also a charting feature , so you can see how your portfolio performs compared to the S&P 500.

Here are this month’s best investors:

    Hope this helps.
