why on his tax sheet is he listing the date of buying the stock as the sell date and the sell date as the buy date and if this person bought 2250 shares between 9-17 and 9-25 for 264,171.00 why and how is he short selling 14800 shares of the same stock for big losses and where did he get these other stocks to short sell

put options (in this case) are the right but not the obligation to sell the firms assets. A short position would mean the debtholder is selling the right but not the obligation to sell the firms assets? Why would they do so in the event of default?

is it possible for someone trading options and short sells?
to take someone elses money and lose it by trading options and short selling stocks through thier margin account,but somehow have another account or a partners account where those stocks could go,i geuss im wondering if one trader can choose who can buy thier puts and calls.
Can you short sell a stock when someone else is doing a pump and dump?
For example, you receive an email / text message spam regarding a stock that should go up in value, and at the same time the share price is up 10% because someone else is buying it. Then you short sell it because you know it won’t stay up for long. You have absolutely nothing to do with the pump and dump and don’t know the other people who are actually doing it.
1. Is this in any way illegal ?
2. Would it work?
3. Do markets still actually move when pump/dump happens or is that something that mostly happened back in the late 90′s ?
